A MEISSEN HAUSMALEREI CHINOISERIE TEABOWL AND SAUCER CIRCA 1725, DREHER'S X TO FOOTRIM OF TEABOWL AND , TO FOOTRIM OF SAUCER Decorated at Augsburg, probably by Anna Elisabeth Wald, the saucer with figures seated at a low table within a tooled gilt quatrefoil cartouche of scrolling foliage, the teabowl with three similar panels of figures before cauldrons, steaming vessels and jardini?res, the interior rim with an interlocking gilt scroll border (some wear to gilding) Anna Elisabeth Wald's work is discussed by Siegfried Ducret in Meissner Porzellan bemalt in Augsburg, 1718 bis um 1750 (Brunswick, 1972), Vol. II, pp. 40-42.
